I am a social scientist/entrepreneur, retired after heading up a small public opinion polling firm -- not political polling, I hasten to add. Once did a lot of research on race relations/equal opportunity in the military and in federal civilian agencies. My main hobby in past years was archaeology, working as a volunteer with professionals in field and lab. Includes things like working at Geo. Washington's boyhood home, a circa 1700 plantation site, an 1840s tannery and many others. Also volunteer with Smithsonian's Forensic Anthropology program. But I'm getting a bit "senior" at the moment, so am doing more seasonal, indoor work, being (not "playing" as so many people refer to it) Santa Claus.
