Born into a military family, I grew up in a suit case, served in the military myself, drifted into college, took the scenic route through higher education, and ended up with a BA in Classical Studies with a minor in Philosophy, and an MA in English. I've been a writer, an illustrator, a carpenter, a janitor, a teacher, a student, and a candy maker. I'm a husband, a father and a grandfather. I love old movies, jazz music and books - lots and lots of books. With one foot in the past and one in the present, I keep a hopeful eye on the future.
