Portillo's the perfect Midwestern Lunch

I go to Chicagoland a lot and when I am able, I stop by Portillo's for an Italian Beef and sausage combo or a hot dog or burger or pizza or some of the great chocolate cake. Fast with atmosphere and always full of chatty people makes it a great place to nosh.

I may stop in there today. It is a well run chain of theme restaurants, and I find them in my travels around the greater Chicago area. Some have a 50's JukeBox theme,some a nostalgic Americana,some a Hot Rod look, etc. The food and service are always reliable.
