Dash, I am blind to misspellings as I am king of typos, misspelled words, and wrong usage. I could never be an editor of my own words... At least until they have already been scent.
I did woner if it was from Dashiell. I think Dash makes a great nickname..... It has a positive feel.

Hammett and Hellman live in my heart, along with Trumbo, Odets, Cagney, Frederic March, Bogey, Bacall, Ring Lardner, Will Geer and all the others who stood up to McCarthy and HUAC, and were blacklisted for refusing to name friends.
We actually did start our Honeymoon in Niagara Falls! We just had to!
