Where was this photo taken? If you have not enlarged and framed it for your home, you really, really should! It is just magnificent. it makes me feel like I am there. i can smell the smells and feel the air and the temperature.
This picture was taken at the Merryland Resort in Xing'an, Guangxi, just 45km to Guilin's northwest. When I first saw this image through my lens, I thought I was looking at a Chinese ink painting! It was unbelievably beautiful. Indeed, Guilin (in China) is a place of immense beauty - everywhere you turn is a view worthy of a landscape painting.
Hi Petewong. I agree with ThBKeeper, your photo is fantastic. I clicked on mine so many times just to goof with the guy who took the Scottish guy photo because he clicked on his photo 5,000 times. I have no expectation of winning this contest.
Good luck to you.
I really like this - the bare trees are an excellent contrast to the misty, sublime scene with perfect placement of the bridge. I'm not sure if the photo with the most clicks wins, though, unless I misunderstood the rules. Good luck to you!
Hmmm.....Sum ting "Wong" Pete? As beautiful as your photo is, how is it that it has received such an ovewhelming number of views? Computer glitch, or is there some sort of program multiplier that exponentially increases the number of views? Seems that your talents extend beyond the lens.....
Again, beautiful and artistic composition, but somewhat sullied by the possibility of a computer viewer program on steriods.
Somewhat admire your skill, and somewhat disappointed in your use of it. None the less, good luck in the contest. It appears as though you really need a win.
perfect . . . this should be a screen
