Will reminds me of a Norman Rockwell Painting -- the painting of the little boy showing all his ancestors. Will's name ends in V - he is the great-grandson (or perhaps, great, great) of one of the founders of the Mayo Clinic; his grandmothers on one side were members of the DAR; on the other the great-grandparents were Russian emigrants. And while his great ("and perhaps great-great") grandfathers were doctors; this generation produced a mother who is a doctor and a lawyer-father. To me he embodies America.

Simply said, such a beautiful innocent face.
Thank you korthal; I think he is too :)
Andy, if this photo were "doctored"and then done in sepia tint, it would look like he was from some earlier time. When I first saw it, I thought a little boy during the Civil War. His hair and face look like faces from those grainy old pictures, and the background, the field of battle. but that's just me, I see history in every photograph! He's beautiful, Andy, he's really beautiful. His coloring, that flush, is wonderful.
Again, thank you; I can see what you're saying and if you knew Will, the battlefield would be an apt place for him :) -- we enjoy all of them. Grandchildren are just so special; you're not prepared for the feelings they evoke.
