Photo
Paris, 1977. I was 20, backpacking thru Europe via trains and youth hostels, when I stumbled upon a parade and a treasured soldier.

I apologize for the yellowed look, however all of my 70s photos have taken this on. A sign of the times.
The original is on my wall and clearer than the way this scanned. Not sure if the negative survived.
Thank you for enjoying the beautiful expression on this gentleman's face. Take it in and hold it in your heart.
Yes, the original is very clear and focused.
Thinking I will take this to a professional to scan properly, and perhaps even restore a bit.

C'est magnifique!!! Makes me want to not only go back to Paris, but to time travel...looks like a still from a movie -- what you call "yellowing" looks like atmosphere to me.

Congratulations, SuzMcQ! This had to be the winner. The right place, the right time, and the ability to capture it for all of us. Great work!
SuzMcQ, Pure photographic evidence...Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.
Congratulations.
This most definitely deserved to win! I'm just so sorry that I missed it in the randomization of the voting page for the community votes. Well done!
Awesome Pic!!
