One of nature's true gifts, mushrooms provide flavor, medicine, ecological benefit and more. And only a few of them want to kill you.

I’ve gone to my farm in Kentucky for the weekend. It’s a great place to relax, do a little hard physical labor, and forget about the rest of the world. If you don’t have such a place, I highly suggest you get one.

In the meantime, here’s a little something that I found for you to read with your morning coffee.

See you on Monday.

I can't even possibly imagine the world that is within side the walls of that cabin. An adventure all in its self, the world of J. Peterman sitting upon a hill, one of the many rolling hills and farm lands within this great commonweath. I bet once you enter the front door you cant help but escape the world in its current state and be taken back to any time that you choose. A true work of art Mr. Peterman, I can merely dream to own something like someday.

As for Moscow, very odd that Russia is financing its own agricultural. A bit of a gamble if you ask me, could be a great way to generate revenue, than again could come back to bite them in a very disasterous way.

The Soviet Union's version of communism failed. Now that they've gone back to being Russia, it seems their version of capitalism is failing. Perhaps they could try a monarchy again and start the cycle over again.

I agree with Mattofyrk that a farm like Mr. Peterman's is a dream to be desired.

We should always work on making our dreams a reality. I find as I get older that the purpose of life is the joy you get out of doing what you dream. There's always one more road to take, one more adventure to live. Look for quality, uniqueness, something quirky and interesting, and never, ever, give up!

The meaning of life I leave to other people to think about. I'm too busy dreaming and doing.

Since I hold the belief that the Russian government rarely does anything intentionally to benefit its citizens, one would have to peel back the layers to dissect the move to see what's in it for the powers that be in Russia. It makes my head hurt just to think about the Russian government.

First and foremost, thank you John Peterman for sharing a glimpse of your wonderful farm and safe harbor. It’s “less” than I had imagined but oh so very much better and fitting. A grand dream come true, which leads me to......

Secondly, and I know this is a dramatic oversimplification, it just seems that Russia has lost the ability to plan, or even imagine anything that it’s people could possibly believe has a chance to succeed; which of course dooms it to failure at the onset. That’s a very deep hole to dig out from.

Honor Roll

still thinking about today...
