I've gone to my farm in Kentucky for the weekend. It's a great place to relax, do a little hard physical labor, and forget about the rest of the world. If you don't have such a place, I highly suggest you get one.
In the meantime, here's an interesting read about fully committing to your work.
See you on Monday.

Surely lack of invention has killed off more than a few folks too.
and , so you see, I had an R&D incident with the coin operated mirror... http://www.petermanseye.com/photos/600701
'They' say necessity is the mother of invention.
I like inventors such as Heath Robinson and Wallace of Wallace and Grommit.
I like Frank Zappa.
'Morning All
I tried to fly once - being terrified of heights, for some reason I decided to overcome my fear, strapped some fairy wings from a costume on to my arms and launched myself out of my bedroom window, flapping the wings I landed on the roof of the library on the floor below. My parents were not pleased with this stunt!! I was about 10 at the time. It wasn't exactly an invention!!
I marvel more at the chutzpah of these people than at their inventions. Giraffe---------------how on earth did you screw up the courage to leap? I watched the guy on the Eiffel Tower and thought how many chances he had to change his mind....and yet didn't. Thank goodness that RoadYacht's invention can't injure anyone....only enhance.
Chefdeb! ~ you old hippie! I didn't think anybody would have heard of The Mothers Of Invention!
Giraffe~ I hope you never lost that spiriit of adventure. That few seconds of believing you can fly is exhilerating.
I don't know how many of you went through the slide show to the end. The finale was a Flying Pinto, the car not the bean. Henry Smolinski, a retired Northrup engineer, invented an airframe that could attach to any of fifty standard sized cars. The video was a sales pitch, not a showing of the disaster. The article says that the inventor died when "the flying pinto separated from it's airframe and crashed."Indeed, I don't want to make light of the tragedy and I don't know what fasteners he used to attach the frame, but the Northrup engineer should have considered using duct tape. Jax ~ duct tape!
I have not invented anything, but I did predict that textbooks would one day be replaced by computer discs or programs, and here in GA, one school system, the Gwinnett Schools district is going over to all computers, ditching textbooks next year. Computerized lessons allow each student to move at his own rate, get support and questions answered by a monitoring teacher, and wisely save the space and inventory issues of keeping up with thousands of textbooks.
Also, over 50 years ago as a working mother, I predicted that some companies would one day have nursery and child care right inside the same plant or building to accommodate the needs of working moms, and some now do.
My daughter in fifth grade was assigned the task of inventing a new product, and as we discussed it at home, we came up with the idea of putting tooth paste in a pump (instead of the only method then available, the tube), and she wrote to Crest and suggested a pump to them. They returned with a thank you letter and 2 coupons for free toothpaste.
So, we are out here thinking up improvements, and new ideas, even if we don't actually patent them or invent them.
Paolos, thanks for the invite to the N. Ga Highland Games,a nd I had already considered going on Sunday, but it is pouring rain here and has been since before dawn, so guess I will wait for a drier day and another venue. Enjoyed the link to t he caber toss! I believe they come to Stone Mtn. in the fall.
ChefDeb and Haze ~ Frank Zappa had a diverse following and he cleans up well.

Miss Mooseloop, the rain is pouring here also and I had every intention of mowing the lawn today.
One of the blessings of The Eye and the Villagers in it and the daily topics for thought and discussion and discovery is that all of these combine to help me keep inventing and reinventing myself.
HAZEL---just call me Suzy Creamcheese
ChefDeb, Hazel, and Paolos...... Whoooodah thought that Florescent Flow and Eddie would end up becoming The Turtles after their Mother's gig.
Who are the Brain Police? And how is Moon Unit doing?
ChefDeb~ er... Suzy Creamcheese - very first vinyl record I ever bought. Parents did not approve.
Today is the air show.
