It's true, I am curious about true moments in history. And, I love this cap.
John Jacob Astor IV, one of the richest men in the world who selflessly and tragically met his fate in the Titanic, along with many other men and women that night.
I imagined during that unbelievable moment, when he slid his pregnant wife through the little port hole to board boat 4, the last boat to make it to safety, I imagined he was wearing this cap, and when he backed away from the window to join the other men, that he pulled the cap lower to hide the fear he was too proud to show.
What is it about this hat? What does it remind you of?
